Extended Range Recreational Diving Programs

Discover Twin Set Diving
A twin set may be use for many reasons. Double gas reserve means a greater safety margin, and double dive time means more fun, A twin cylinder configuration is more stable because you would have a far wider surface area across your back, giving a large stable platform than the narrow profile offered when diving with single
And the Twin Set Diver looks very Cool...

Twin Set Diver
Diving in a twin set requires a degree of knowledge and skill, which so often labels the user as a Tech Diver. This is a new recreational specialty course for PSAI and is really aimed to demystify the use of twin sets, and give divers sound advice on the setup and purchase of equipments.

Twin Set Instuctor manual coverTwin Set ABC Diver (Advanced Buoyancy Control)
This specialty course is designed to train divers the proper procedure for mastering buoyancy by fine-tuning the position and propulsion techniques. Introduce the environmental friendly “Frog Kick” swim, backward kicks, helicopter turns, horizontally ascend and descend for maximum environment protection.

Twin Set Nitrox Diver
Every diver knows that their diving time is related directly to the amount of nitrogen in the gas they breathe. With Nitrox, we can reduce the amount of nitrogen by increasing the oxygen content up to 40%. By using Twin Set and breathing Nitrox, we can reduce the chance of DCS stay in water longer and safer.

Twin Set Deep Diver
This specialty course is designed to train divers to develop the knowledge, skills, and techniques for deeper dives within the Non-Decompression Limit and Narcosis awareness. Divers should know their air consumption and the double gas volume in the Twin Set to safety participate in deep dive activities.

Twin Set Wreck Diver
This specialty course is designed to train divers to properly and safely conduct wreck diving. It includes the appropriate techniques and equipment for limited-penetration. Twin Set is properly the best way of enjoying safe wreck diving within the limits of recreational diving.

Narcosis Management Level 1 & 2
Level I- 30m
Level II- 40m
This course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime “going deep to see things others can only dream about”.

PSAI Narcosis Management training, the best in the world has you perform only the underwater skills that relate to the actual real world of diving, keeping up with Depth, Air, Time and Awareness (DATA). You must become comfortable and competent with the mental and motor skills at each training depth before training down to the next level. The training you receive in this course, which covers equipment selection and configuration, dive planning and gas management, buddy awareness and dive execution is applicable to diving as deep of 40m (130 feet)

Full Face Mask
This course is designed to train divers in the use of a Full Face Mask and familiarizes the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of using a Full Face Mask in non-overhead environments.

With more recreation dives choosing to experience new diving environment, there has been an increased demand for products that can meet the needs of diving in different climates. The availability of affordable dry suits and improved wet suits construction has led more divers into colder and longer exposures. Many divers have expressed their desire for additional exposure protection for their faces in these circumstances. The full face mask can be used to provide this protection. The full face mask also offers the opportunity to use underwater communication systems. (This Course will soon to open)

Technical Diver Courses

Advanced Nitrox
PSAI´s Advanced Nitrox is the entry course into technical diving. Advanced Nitrox continues on from the Nitrox course, introducing the diver to the use of up to and including 100% oxygen for enhanced safety stops. The use of a single stage cylinder is also introduced. While the limit is 150 feet (46m) and no required stops, the groundwork is laid and skill development begins for more advanced and aggressive dive profiles.

Exteded Range Nitrox

PSAI's Extended Range Nitrox course is intended for the diver wishing to dive to depths between 46m (150') and 55m (180') with extended bottom times. Stage decompression techniques are taught as decompression obligations are incurred for the extended depths and bottom times. This course primarily utilizes air as the bottom gas and nitrox and oxygen as decompression gases.

Trimix

PSAI Trimix certification consists of three levels. Initial (level 1) Trimix certification presents the foundational information upon which the successive courses are based. It has a depth limit of 61m (200´) and Trimix blends of no less than 18% oxygen. Expedition Trimix expands on the foundation previously laid and through in water practical application the diver's depth range is increased to 73m (240´). Finally, Explorer Trimix will certify a diver to explore to depths of 100m (330´)

Wreck Penetration Diver
This course is designed for those divers who wish to penetrate wrecks using proper techniques. These penetrations are not simple swim throughs, but rather multi-level or multi-turn dives beyond the daylight zone using a guideline. This course is NOT a "progressive penetration" memorization technique course. The diver shall not dive deeper than they have been previously certified. The maximum depth for this course shall be limited to the previous air training depth of the candidate or 55 meters (180 feet).

Narcosis Management

PSAI Narcosis Management training, the best in the world has you perform only the underwater skills that relate to the actual real world of diving, keeping up with Depth, Air, Time and Awareness (DATA). You must become comfortable and competent with the mental and motor skills at each training depth before training down to the next level. The training you receive in this course, which covers equipment selection and configuration, dive planning and gas management, buddy awareness and dive execution is applicable to all levels of diving. Any diver, regardless of certification level from Open Water through mixed gas closed circuit rebreather will benefit from this course. PSAI is the only agency offering Deep Air training down to 73 meters ~ (240 feet) taught in six levels. There are currently only ten instructors world wide qualified to teach to level VI
Level ~ I 30m (100') Level ~ IV 55m (180')
Level ~ II 40m (130') Level ~ V 61m (200')
Level ~ III 46m (150') Level ~ VI 73m (240')

Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR)
Diver Courses

CCR Fundamental
In this course you will assemble, pre-dive check and you will learn to maintain a chosen closed circuit rebreather. You will also conduct and plan dives with the use of oxygen and air in a closed circuit rebreather of the type and configuration taught for recreational dives within non-decompression limit. In addition to, you will discover from rebreather related problems underwater, including solenoid jams, out of gas scenarios, flooding, electronic failures, hyperoxia & hypoxia and others. You will also do rescue a fellow Rebreather diver from the bottom.

CCR Decompression Procedure
This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression for CCR Rebreathers. It also provides training and experience required to competently utilize air for dives up to 45 meters (150 feet) that require staged decompression, bail out gases, utilizing nitrox and/or oxygen.
